ASSEMBLING A TANK
If an aquarist is unimpressed by the range of aquariums on the market, then there
is always the alternative of constructing a home-made tank. This requires only patience
and precision: the most important thing is to follow the sequence of operations.
The hobbyist thus has the chance to choose a tank according to his or her requirements
or the setting within which it will be placed.

АЛИХАНОВ Абрам Исаакович (1904-70) , российский физик, академик АН СССР (1943), Герой Социалистического Труда (1954). Брат А. И. Алиханьяна. Основатель и директор (с 1945) Института теоретической и экспериментальной физики. Труды по физике атомного ядра и космических лучей. Под руководством Алиханова созданы первые в СССР тяжеловодный ядерный реактор (1949), ускоритель с жесткой фокусировкой до 7 ГэВ (1961). Государственная премия СССР (1941, 1948, 1953).
