Nemateleotris magnifica
The fire goby, native to the Indo-Pacific region, more than lives up to its Latin
name of magnifica. It adapts well to captivity but remains somewhat timid, and so
it must be kept with placid species, or in an invertebrate tank. It accepts artificial
food. Several species from the same genus, with similar vivid coloring, are sometimes
found on the market. Size: 10 cm.
